I love ground turkey, but I had to come up with a way to keep the lean meat moist and flavorful. Tex Mex flavors evoke memories of home in South Texas. And when my grandkids liked this burger, I knew I had a winning combo! I'll grill up both mini and regular burger patties. The girls love Mimi's "baby burgers" and these made as sliders are their fave! For the heartier appetites of the "real men" I grill thick, juicy patties that make everyone smile. Even the men who only eat beef in my family will devour this turkey burger! And I just feel good serving them.

These look and sound delicious and a little healthy. I love a good burger, but will half to cut the recipe in half there's only 2 of us and 2# of ground is too much. Congratulations on your blue ribbon, thank you for sharing you recipe. Will definitely try these.

This sounds really good. I can't eat red meat and this fit's the bill. Have to do with out the tomato's but with everything else I don't think I will miss them much. I need to find more recipes that have a lot of iron in them. Congratulation's and thankyou.

Thanks for all the gracious comments! Yes, I am sure these can be cooked like any other burger on the stovetop -- and baking or broiling would probably be great.

I don't have grill. Can these be cooked stovetop also (or baked in over) or would that dry them out too much? They sound so yummy!!
