Cathy's Story

This makes a super tasty, juicy and very tender ham. After I made this the 1st time, my hubby requests I make ham this way every time.

Ingredients

1
bone in half or whole ham
1 TO 2 can(s)
cola ( depends on size of ham) i use diet cola because i am diabetic
Kitchen Crew

Janet got "Chocolate Covered Cherry Mice"

TAKE THE QUIZ and find out what Halloween treat you are!

Directions Step-By-Step

1
trim off majority of excess fat from outside of ham. Score the whole outside of the ham about 1/2 in deep in crisscross directions with sharp knife. Pour cola slowly over entire ham. cover losley with foil. add about 2 inches of water to bottom of pan to keep from drying out.
2
Bake required amount of time for the size of the ham you are cooking. Slice and enjoy a super tender ,juicy ham that has a fabulous flavor. ** this could also be place in a slow cooker
3
I Baste the ham a few times during cooking to add even more flavor & juciness.

This is what i'm making tonight except I add a little brown sugar and mustard to mine. This is a Patti Labelle recipe I got years ago off TV.

Cathy, I put it in the oven this morning and am slow cooking it all day. I just can't decide what to make with it. I've got it down to either potatoe casserole or corn casserole. I'm trying lots of new stuff right now thanks to my Jap.
