Easy sausage and apple stuffing

- 2 slice
- day old wheat bread, crusts removed
- 1/4 c
- chicken broth
- egg, lightly beaten
- shallots, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp
- sage, chopped
- 1 lb
- bulk sausage
- 1 large
- granny smith apple, peeled, shredded
- salt & pepper to taste
- handful of fresh cranberries for garnish
1Heat oven to 350. Cut the bread into small cubes. Place bread in a bowl. Pour broth over bread, let sit 5 mins.
2Mash bread w/ a fork, stir in egg. Stir in shallots and sage. Add sausage, ( broken up,) and apple. season w/ salt and pepper. Mix with hands until combined.
3Spoon mix into a square baking dish. Bake 30 mins. Garnish w/ a handful of cranberries.
