Ingredients

2 slc sourdough bread
3 tsp softened butter

4 oz brie, sliced in 4 slices
1 ripe pear, peeled and sliced
1 Tbsp apricot preserves
1 Tbsp potato chips, crushed
dipping sauce:
2 tsp each, apricot jam and sweet hot thai chili sauce

Jane's Notes:
This is a nice combo. Pears and Brie have been paired up for a long time.
If you decide to make this, be sure to include the dipping sauce, it really makes this sing.
 
 

Directions

Spread softened butter on each slice of bread.

Spread the preserves on one of the unbuttered sides.

Arrange brie on one unbuttered side, and top with desired number of pear slices.

Crush potato chips and put on top of sammie.

Grill on med low heat until brie is all melted and bread is golden.

Mix up dipping sauce, it's just equal amounts of hot sweet Thai chili sauce and apricot preserves. This really makes the sandwich sparkle.

I had GW for my guinea pig today, didn't put the chips on his because of the carb thing. Thought the sourdougn being a 5 grain would be ok. We won't talk about the preserves :)
