Old Fashioned Texas Chili

Old fashioned Texas Chili is made of a flavorful blending of meat and spices . It is rich, thick and hearty. You can eat it by the bowl, over corn chips, noodles or potatoes. Oh and don't forget the sharp cheddar cheese on top !

Ingredients

1 lb
80% lean ground beef
1 lb
course ground lean chili meat
1-1 1/2 c
chopped onion
3 tsp
chopped garlic from a jar
4 tsp
paprika
2 tsp
mexican oregano (or regular)
1/2 c
chili powder
2 tsp
comino
1 -8oz. can(s)
tomatoe sauce (+ 2 cans water)
0-2 tsp
cayenne pepper,depending on prefered heat level
7 tsp
masa (mixed with 1/2 c. water)

Step-By-Step

1Brown meat in a heavy stewpot until almost done add onions and cook over med heat until onions are wilted .
2add all other ingredients except masa mixed with water .Stir well breaking up meat. Cover and simmer 30 minuets on low.
3Add masa mixed with water and stir until thickened simmer 15-20 min stirring occasionally.
