Effortless Slower Cooker Chicken

I admit it, I am a lazy cook. I am always wanting to find ways to have home cooking that it easy and prepared in a healthy manner. I experimented with this recipe for something low in calories and easy to make.

Nothing like throwing something in a slow cooker and forgetting it. It does not get any simpler or better than this effortless meal. I make up 4 chicken breasts at a time and freeze them in individual servings.

Ingredients

4
boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
1 c
frozen chopped onions
1 can(s)
diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz. (can use type with seasonings)
1 can(s)
tomatoe sauce, 8 oz.
2 Tbsp
parsley flakes
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
2 Tbsp
oregano, dried
1 Tbsp
salt
1 Tbsp
black pepper
2 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large slow cooker, place frozen chicken breasts and frozen onions.

In a medium bowl add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour mixture over chicken in slow cooker.

Cook on high heat for 6 to 7 hours or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Can be served over rice or pasta.
