You’ll love grilling when this tasty chicken is made. Hot pepper sauce adds a little zip to the tender chicken. Tip: The BBQ sauce is easy to double. Store any extra in your freezer and top off your next burger with it.

Ingredients

chicken leg and thigh quarters

BBQ SAUCE

1/2 c
ketchup
1/4 c
water
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
cider vinegar
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
prepared mustard
1 clove
garlic, minced
dash salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp
hot pepper sauce
1
bay leaf

Directions Step-By-Step

In small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring ccasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

2. Discard bay leaf. Reserve 1/3 cup sauce for basting. Cover and refrigerate the remaining sauce.

3. Prepare grill for indirect heat Put chicken over a drip pan. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20 minutes. Turn; grill 15-25 minutes longer or until juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved sauce. Serve with remaining sauce.
