Ingredients

2 large
egg yolks
1 large
egg
1 1/2 c
milk
1/3 c
cocoa
1 1/2 c
sugar
dash
of salt
1/4 c
all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp
margarine
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract

CREAMY MERINGUE

2 large
egg whites
1/4 c
sugar
1/8 tsp
cream of tartar
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1BAKE CRUST FIRST. CAN USE GRAHAM CRACKER, IF DESIRED. ALESE USED A 9" DEEP DISH.
2MIX SUGAR, FLOUR AND COCOA IN EGGS AFTER THEY ARE BEATEN.
3ADD MILK AND SALT.
4COOK 10-12 MINUTES, OR UNTIL THICKENED. ADD MARGARINE AND VANILLA. SPOON INTO CRUST OF CHOICE.
5BEAT EGG WHITES AND CREAM OF TARTAR UNTIL FOAMY.
6ADD SUGAR, VERY SLOWLY. BEAT UNTIL VERY STIFF PEAKS FORM. STIR IN VANILLA.
7SPOON OVER PIE. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES UNTIL BROWN. SERVE WARM.
