Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 small egg -- or -- if using larger egg, beat egg in a cup and use half for recipe, and save other half for something else
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- TOPPING
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Step 1In a small bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla.

Step 2In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently stir in blueberries and add to the sugar mixture.

Step 3Spread mixture into a greased or sprayed 8-inch square or round baking pan.

Step 4In a small bowl, mix the topping ingredients together until they resemble coarse crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
