Started a no sugar diet and was wanting a cookie. The smell is heavenly while it is baking and the taste is wonderful.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter (1 stick) softened and partly melted
1/2 c
shredded wheat cerial crushed
1/2 c
quick oats (uncooked)
1 large
egg
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
baking powder
1/4 c
almonds, slivered
3/4 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/2 c
spelt or other flour

Directions Step-By-Step

In a bowl mix the egg and butter. then add the vanilla and baking powder mixing well. add the shredded wheat, oats, and flour and mix well then fold in the slivered almonds.

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees and drop the cookies onto a cookie sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes. Remove from pan and put on plate to cool.
