Mary Ann's Story

My mother always made these at Christmas when I was a kid and for wedding/baby showers. Everyone always loved them! I liked helping her make them because it was so good to snitch a bite or two!

Ingredients

1 box
12 oz. vanilla wafers, crushed
1 can(s)
6 oz. orange juice concentrate, thawed, undiluted
1 c
confectioners' sugar
1 c
finely chopped nuts, your choice ( i use pecans)
1 pkg
coconut, flaked sweetened

Directions Step-By-Step

Crush vanilla wafers very fine. Mix with sugar

Add undiluted juice and nuts. Mix well.

Shape into small balls. Roll in coconut.

Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

What size package of coconut? I don't want too much or too little. Sounds delish!!

These were good. I got inspired by the recipe and dipped them in white chocolate before rolling in toasted coconut. Thank you for sharing.

I made those for our Family Christmas Party and everyone loved them. Even though I made them too soft, they would not form properly. What did I do wrong?

Has anyone tried the unsweetened coconut?
