Ingredients

2 c
sifted flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
european or organic raw butter, room temp.
2
exlarge organic eggs, separated, room temp.
1 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
heavy cream
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp
salt

FROSTING

2 c
powder sugar. sifted
1/2 to 3/4 c
european butter or raw organic, softened
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract or any extract you like
about 1/4 half/half or milk

Step-By-Step

1Beat the egg whites stiff. Set aside.

2Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg yolks, salt and beat. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix. Add the cream and the egg whites. Mix. If the dough is a little wet add a tad bit more flour.

3Roll out on a lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425* (hot oven) until bottoms are a golden brown.

4You can sprinkle the tops of the cookies with sugar before baking or cool them and then frost them.

5To make the frosting add the powdered sugar and butter together and mix till well blended. Add the vanilla and mix. Add half/half or the milk slowly to get the consistency you want for frosting.
