Butter Toffee Cookies

Mrs.Fields cookies were my childhood favorite..I enjoyed all the cookies, but her butter toffee was my absolute fav! Had it as a large cookie cake once, that was the best birthday cake I ever had:). Even worked at 1 of the Mrs.Fields cookie shops as a teenager I indulged everyday lol..hopefully this recipe remake becomes a hit for you as it is for me.

4 c
1 tsp
baking soda
2 stick
salted buttercream
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
granulated sugar
1 c
brown sugar
2 1/3 c
heath english toffee bits/bits 'o brickle toffee bits


1Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. .sift flour & baking soda,pour in all the toffee bits
2In another bowl melt the buttercream, add vanilla, then mix in the sugars *hint make sure the mixture is smooth
3Combine wet mixture with dry mix, pour in beaten eggs incorporate this thoroughly
4Roll out dough,press bits in as some may fall out.There will be enough dough to form into two 16 inch logs.
5Refrigerate in plastic wrap for a hour or more..the dough will be hard,use a sharp knife slice quarter of an inch thick..before baking these cookies I'd suggest preheating the oven on 350° for atleast 10 minutes
6Bake for several minutes or until lightly golden & toffee bits are melted let the cookies rest for a few minutes before indulging.
