brown sugar, light
pure vanilla extract
cream of tartar
1PREHEAT OVEN TO 400* AND BAKE COOKIES FOR ONLY 8 to 20 minutes
2CREAM sugars, shortening , egg and vanilla.
ADD dry ingredients sifted together .
3FORM into a walnut -size balls.
DIP top half in water then sugar.
4PLACE on greased sheet and press down in center with finger
AND BAKE IT FOR 8 TO 20 minutes and check on them,so that they overcook.
CHECK with toothpick when it comes out clear they are done. COOL them and let it sit wire wrac,to cool.
