unsweetened baking cocoa
In a large mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients.
With a fork mix all the ingredients up until it's all combined together.
Make 3 holes in the mixture for the vanilla , oil and the vinegar.
Pour the COLD water all at once in and mix using a fork only.
Do not over mix , mix just enough to combine . You do not want to get out every little lump , just mix to break up all the flour clumps.
Pour into a ungreased cake pan.
Pound the cake on the counter to settle the cake and pop any bubbles that formed from mixing.
Bake in a preheated oven @ 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the cake ; set aside and let cool before frosting the cake.
This cake is delicious with or with out frosting and you can also dust it lightly with powdered sugar...enjoy.
