This is a very delicious chocolate cake that my family has been making for years and years.

This cake is delicious served plain or frosted with your favorite frosting. My family likes it with chocolate or cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

3 c
flour
2 c
sugar
1/2 c
unsweetened baking cocoa
2 tsp
soda
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
vinegar
3/4 c
vegetable oil
1 Tbsp
vanilla
2 c
"cold" water

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In a large mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients.
2
With a fork mix all the ingredients up until it's all combined together.
3
Make 3 holes in the mixture for the vanilla , oil and the vinegar.
4
Pour the COLD water all at once in and mix using a fork only.
5
Do not over mix , mix just enough to combine . You do not want to get out every little lump , just mix to break up all the flour clumps.
6
Pour into a ungreased cake pan.
7
Pound the cake on the counter to settle the cake and pop any bubbles that formed from mixing.
8
Bake in a preheated oven @ 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the cake ; set aside and let cool before frosting the cake.
9
This cake is delicious with or with out frosting and you can also dust it lightly with powdered sugar...enjoy.
