Ingredients
| 1 can(s) | (12oz) apple fruit filling..divided |
| 1 | 9" or 10" graham cracker crust |
| 2 pkg | cream cheese, softened |
| 1/2 c | sugar |
| 1/4 tsp | vanilla extract |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1/4 c | caramel topping |
| 12 | pecans, halved |

Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Reserve 3/4 cup of apple filling
Spoon remaining filling onto the crust.
Beat together cream cheese,sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Add eggs and mix well.
Pour over the apple pie filling.
Bake 35 minutes or until center is set.
Cool to room temperature.Mix reserved apple filling and caramel in a small saucepan.
Heat about 1 minute.
Arrange apple slices around the outside edge of cheesecake.
Spoon caramel sauce over the cheesecake,and spread evenly.
Decorate with pecan halves around the edge of cake.
Then sprinkle with a few chopped pecans.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This looks simple to make, however, I am not a fan of canned apples for pie filling. I never use any spice except cinnamon in my apple recipes. If you like the canned, prepared filling then I am sure this would be yummy. What makes this interesting is that each recipe will be tinkered with until you strike gold, when this happens be sure and share your recipe. I often make the Philly Cherrio creamcheese pie; I have one son that is not a cherry fan, to make sure he will enjoy dessert, I cut out a piece for him, take all the cherrys off the top and place canned pie apples on top with
some cinnamon added to the topping. He is happy and so am I.
