Nancy J.'s notes for this recipe:
A very simple, quick and easy recipe with a luscious taste.
You will be surprised with these simple ingredients, how it will tempt your taste buds!
You will think you are at the Waldorf Astoria.
I found this at the bottom layer of my old recipe box.
It was a Wilderness & a Comstock
pie filling recipe.
Picture was with the recipe.
I am sure you will be very pleased.

you are so welcome!
I have never made it with fresh apples...
the canned ones with the spices added to it,
work out just fine.
Plus the apples are pre=cooked.
Remember it only bakes 35 minutes,
mainly for the crust....Hugs, mom

This looks simple to make, however, I am not a fan of canned apples for pie filling. I never use any spice except cinnamon in my apple recipes. If you like the canned, prepared filling then I am sure this would be yummy. What makes this interesting is that each recipe will be tinkered with until you strike gold, when this happens be sure and share your recipe. I often make the Philly Cherrio creamcheese pie; I have one son that is not a cherry fan, to make sure he will enjoy dessert, I cut out a piece for him, take all the cherrys off the top and place canned pie apples on top with
some cinnamon added to the topping. He is happy and so am I.
