(In my opinion)
I was looking for a way to have oatmeal that was healthy and tasty but not loaded with sugar, this is the result.

Ingredients

5 -6 c
my coconut milk recipe
1/4 c
rasins
1/4 c
dates, chopped
1/4 c
coconut, shredded
1/8 c
dried cherries, cut in half
1 pinch
salt
1/4 c
toasted wheat germ
3 Tbsp
flax seeds
1/4 c
wheat bran
3 Tbsp
cream of wheat, quick-cook style
1 c
old-fashioned oatmeal
1 c
quick oats
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
vanilla

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS

1 c
applesauce, unsweetened
fresh or frozen fruit, blueberries, peaches etc

Directions Step-By-Step

pour coconut milk in med. sauce pan, add dried fruit, vanilla and cinnamon, over med. heat bring to a full boil.

In a bowl lightly mix dry ingredients, pour slowly into boiling mixture while stirring. Stirring constantly bring to a full boil then lower heat to
simmer for about 5 minutes. a few min. longer if needed

If too thick add applesauce or more coconut milk.
Serve with fresh or frozen fruit, toast and nuts for a totally healthy breakfast.
