Dutch oven bread

- 1/4 tsp
- active dry yeast ( i add a pinch more)
- 2 c
- bread flour
- 1 c
- rye or wheat flour
- 1 1/2 c
- warm water
- 1 1/2 tsp
1disolve yeast in water, mix the rest of the ingredients in water thoroughly (dont worry if it looks clumpy or flakey) Cover with plastic wrap and set aside till the next afternoon.
Take it out of the bowl a few hours before you want to cook it, I add some garlic or herbs at this point, then fold it into itself on a floured surface 3-4 times, cover with a towel and let rest for a few hours. Preheat your oven to 450, with the dutch oven in it, once the dutch oven is hot, put your bread loaf in (folds up), put the lid on and bake at 450 for 30 minutes. take the lid off the dutch oven and bake another 5 minutes.
remove from the dutch oven and let the loaf rest for 10 minutes (if you can wait!) then slice and serve with your dinner!
2This is an easy recipe, I make a batch every single day to go with whatever I am cooking! You can add your goodies to the bread dough when your folding it and brush it with butter, garlic butter, onion butter when it comes out! Enjoy!
