Ingredients

1/2 c
butter
2
eggs
1 c
buttermilk
2/3 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1 c
cornmeal
1 c
all purpose flour

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 375. Put butter in heavy, oven safe skillet (cast iron is best) and put in oven while it is preheating. When butter is melted and skillet is hot remove from oven.
2While skillet is heating and butter is melting prepare cornbread batter.

In medium bowl, add eggs-whisk slightly. Add buttermilk, whisk slightly. Add sugar, baking soda and salt. Whisk mixing well. Add cornmeal and flour. Mix well. Add melted butter to batter. Mix well.
3Pour batter in hot skillet. Bake at 375 for 30-40 min.
