ellen's italian pinwheel appetizers
These delicious wraps were served at a party I went to recently so I came home and re-created them with my own touch. If someone in the family doesn't like chopped tomatoes you can use the tomato-flavored tortillas. Photo: Yummly.com 05-06-15

Ingredients
- 5 - 10-inch tomato-flavored or plain flour tortillas
- 5-10 - romaine lettuce leaves, washed and dried
- 12 slices salami, thinly sliced
- 12 slices pepperoni, thinly sliced
- 15 slices provalone or mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing - or - your favorite italian dressing
- 3 - tomatoes, thinly sliced
How To Make ellen's italian pinwheel appetizers

Step 1Liberally brush dressing over each tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border all around.

Step 2Layer each tortilla with Romaine leaves, salami, cheese, tomato and pepperoni, distributing evenly among the 5 tortillas.

Step 3Roll each tortilla up tightly and wrap in plastic wrap; Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, or overnight.

Step 4Unwrap tortillas and cut each into 1-inch slices. Secure with toothpicks if needed. Serve as an appetizer or for a light lunch.
