Spicy Celery & Lentil Soup

For a healthy nutritiously lite soup try my celery n lentil soup. I serve it with crackers or garlic toast. When I have carrots I add them sliced thin. Remember to keep it spicy ladies! Smiles

Ingredients

1/2 c
lentils, dry
1 stalk(s)
celery
3/4 fl
pot of water or chicken broth.
1 medium
potato, & onion

SEASONINGS:

Dashes
chicken boullion, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme, oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic powder.
1/2 c
milk or half n half

Step-By-Step

1Fill stainless steel pot with 3/4 water heat on medium. Slice veggies placing in pot.
2Heat to medium. Add Chicken broth and Cook for 25 minutes.
3Sprinkle with seasonings Turn on low heat to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
4Turn off heat splash with milk or cream then cover until seasonings permeate throughout the soup.
5Serve topped with Parmesan Cheese & litely buttered Garlic Toast, crackers, or your choice of bread.
