I named it that because one bite of this cake and you can't stop eating it until you feel like you are going to Bust Your Buttons!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This lovely cake has just the right amount of sweetness and oh, how I loved the butter flavor! The glaze is simply wonderful.

Ingredients

cake flour
2 c
sugar
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 c
buttermilk
1 c
(2 sticks) butter, softened
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
almond extract

eggs, room temperature
BUTTERY GLAZE
1/3 c
butter
3/4 c
granulated sugar (white sugar, not powdered)
3 Tbsp
water
1 1/2 Tbsp
vanilla extract

I live in Minnesota so I don't know how that would work regarding the altitude. You may need to look it up. Do a search this info should show up.

I live in Utah too and I didn't change the flour in it and it turned out great!

This looks like a great cake for the holidays! I want to try and make it for Thanksgiving and I was wondering if I just increase the cake flour ingredient portion since I live in a high altitude state (Utah).

Sherri - I would think that you could leave this on the counter. It does sound really good.
