I work for a very big international company that use to do a lot of charity events. I suppose it's not just the company's fault. Probably as things changed economically, people are less inclined to give their time and effort and money to things that they can't see will benefit them personally. This is bad in our country. So it makes me all the more happy and softens my heart that this company is doing such a big thing.
When I see those 'big money celebs' doing stuff, giving stuff away this time of year, it doesn't mean that much. They have so much - they should give it away. It is great to see though. I just don't think it's that big of a deal for them.
But what WestJet is doing seems.....different. So I say good job! I say I need to figure out a way for me to do something.
Thanks for sharing this company wide effort. You brought tears to my eyes on some of the segments. And happy to my heart on all of them.
