1/3 C Dry red (or white) wine
1/4 C Red (or white) wine vinegar
1 Clove garlic (peeled, bruised, and stuck on a toothpick)
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Powdered mustard
1/8 tsp White pepper
2/3 C Olive oil (or other salad oil

How to Make Wine Dressing


  • 1Mix wine, vinegar, and garlic, cover, and let stand at room temperature 2 hours; remove garlic Beat in salt, mustard, and pepper, then drizzle in oil, beating constantly. Shake well and use to dress green salads.
