INGREDIENTS
For the beef and vegetable layer:
1 lb. ground beef 
1 1/2 c. chopped yellow onions
3/4 c. chopped carrots
1/2 c. peas (I used frozen)
1/2 c. corn kernels (I used frozen)
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
1 c. beef stock
Salt and pepper
For the mashed potato layer:
2 lb. Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into large cubes
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter, softened or melted
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
