INGREDIENTS

3 cups rolled oats (I usually use old-fashioned)

2 cups all-purpose flour
•
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
•
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
•
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
•
1/2 teaspoon cloves (optional)
•
1 cup butter, cold and cubed
•
8 cups thinly sliced apples (I used a mix of gala and granny smith apples)
•
1 (15-16 oz) jar caramel ice cream topping (I used Mrs. Richardson's brand)
•
1 cup apple juice, divided
•
additional cinnamon to sprinkle on apples (optional)
