Vegetarian Tikka Masala

INGREDIENTS
1/2 tablespoon oil
1 medium onion (diced)
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup vegetable broth
1 28- ounce can diced tomatoes (not drained)
1 medium head of cauliflower (cut into 2 inch florets--about 4 cups)
2 cups cooked chickpeas (1 (15 ounce) can drained and rinsed.)
1/2 cup canned coconut milk
1 cups frozen peas (optional)
