"I made up this torte cake recipe when my husband and I were first married, 32 years ago. My two boys were to spend the weekend with their father and my husband and I were alone and I wanted to show off my baking skills to my new husband. This is a favorite I came up with and to this day, 6 grandchildren later I still make this to enjoy over the weekend, but this time its with the "kids" and our grandchildren...."
