1 medium onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tbsp. yellow curry powder
1 (13.5 oz.) can coconut milk 
2 tbsp. honey, plus more to taste
1/4 tsp. kosher salt, plus more to taste
1 lime, juiced
12 basil leaves, chopped, plus more for serving
Hot sauce (optional)
