INGREDIENTS

⅔ cup shortening

⅔ cup butter, (softened)

1 cup granulated white sugar
•
1 cup brown sugar, packed
•
2 eggs + 1 egg yolk
•
3 teaspoons vanilla
•
3 ¼ cups all purpose flour
•
3 teaspoons cornstarch
•
1 teaspoon baking soda
•
1 teaspoon salt
•
1 12 oz. package of chocolate chips (plus more for garnishing tops of cookies) ((I prefer dark))
