2 Tbs creme fraiche, mascarpone cheese, or full-fat sour cream
2 Tbs cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbs unsalted butter
1 tsp bourbon
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Whipped cream for serving (optional)
