5 cups sweet cherries, pitted

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

2 Tbsp lemon juice

3 Tbsp cornstarch

1 Tbsp of butter, cut into small pieces
•
1 egg
•
Coarse sugar for sprinkling
