INGREDIENTS

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch square baking pans.

Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water

Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely.

To make the mousse. Combine gelatin and cold water in a small glass bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, stir to mix. Add the boiling water and stir until melted. Set aside. Beat the cream till soft peaks form. Whisk together the cocoa and the sugar, and sif

To make the chocolate sauce. in a medium saucepan, whisk together the water, sugar, corn syrup and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once it starts to simmer, remove from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate until melted.

To serve. place one cake on a serving plate and top with chilled mousse, smooth flat then place second layer on top. cut into individual servings and drizzle with chocolate sauce just before serving.
