The Base

75 g / 2 1/2 oz butter

220 g / 8oz Digestive Biscuits (cookies) or Honey Grahams Crackers

The Filling
•
300 g / 10 - 12 oz fresh Strawberries ** You may need more or less strawberries depending what size tin / rings you are using.

200 ml / 7oz / A little under 1 cup Whipped cream
•
1 pint / 550 ml / 2 1/2 cups of Ready Made Thick Custard OR Jello Vanilla Pudding (not instant) or to make your own custard from Bird's Eye:

1 pint or 2 1/2 cups of milk (to make the custard)

2 Tablespoons custard powder (to make the custard) * For our US readers, see here where to get Birds Custard powder. You can also but it from Meijer's in their International Section.

1 Tablespoon of sugar (if the custard / Vanilla Pudding comes without)
•
Fresh Strawberries are very expensive where I live so I use frozen ones to make the puree and fresh ones for the top and sides

Please note, you can swap some of the ingredients for the low sugar / low fat versions and it will still be delicious!
