3 1/2 Cups milk
2 envelopes yeast
4 Cups flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 Cups shortening
3 eggs -or-
5 egg yolks
6 Cups flour
1 1/2 Cups sugar
2 ounces Brandy
1 pound raisins
1/4 pound dried apricots
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 pound pecans or almonds
1/2 pound citron
3 pounds mixed glace fruits
1/2 pound marrons glace (candied chestnuts)
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
1 Cup flour
powdered sugar, for topping
