1 stalk celery with leaves cut into 2 inch (5 cm) pieces

1 small (3 oz / 90 g) carrot cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) pieces
1 bay leaf
1 cup white wine
1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp parsley chopped
GRAVY:
7 tbsp water
5 tbsp flour
DUMPLINGS:
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp parsley chopped
