2 tablespoons butter

1 15-ounce can crushed tomatoes

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon garlic powder
•
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)

2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
•
3 teaspoons onion powder
•
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 1/2 cups heavy cream or half & half (fat free half & half works well)

1/4 cup chicken broth
