3 eggs, separated and at room temperature (use just the yolks in the filling and reserve the whites for the meringue)

3 egg whites (room temperature eggs make better meringue)

1 tsp. baking powder

4 Tbs. sugar

1 tsp. corn starch

1 tsp. vanilla
