6 tbsp. sugar

1⁄2 cup flour
•
1⁄2 tsp. ground cinnamon

4 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces

1⁄2 cup shelled pecans or walnuts, chopped

7 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened

3⁄4 tsp. baking soda

3⁄4 cup sugar

1 whole egg plus 1 egg yolk
