INGREDIENTS
CAKE INGREDIENTS:
1 cup unsalted butter {softened}
6 large eggs {separated}
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups sugar
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 8oz. container sour cream
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
GLAZE INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
almost 1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
vanilla ice cream
toasted pecans for sprinkling on top
