stuffed pepper soup made w/sausage

This one is a winner! I won 1st place at work during our soup contest! This recipe is usually made with hamburger, we wanted to kick it up a notch, adding the hot sausage was a winner!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hot italian sausage
  • 4 large green bell peppers
  • 3 cans progresso chunky tomatoe soup
  • 1 1/4 cups white rice (uncooked) minute rice okay

How To Make stuffed pepper soup made w/sausage

  • Step 1
    Remove casing from sausage, brown sausage till no longer pink (should be crumbly )
  • Step 2
    cut bell peppers into bite size pieces
  • Step 3
    put sausage, cut up bell peppers, and (uncooked) rice into crock-pot add cans of soup.
  • Step 4
    Cook on low for 6-8 hours- add salt & pepper to taste
  • Step 5
    Enjoy !
