How To Make spicy vegetable chowder
-
Step 1In a large pot, simmer vegetables in broth until tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Add broccoli in the last 5 minutes of cooking so it doesn't breakdown entirely (or slightly cook the broccoli separately and add at the end).
-
Step 2Add seasonings to pot. Whisk the flour into the water and add to the pot to thicken the soup. Cook until thickened.
-
Step 3Stir in cheese until melted and then add salsa
-
Step 4Warm milk in the microwave and add to pot. Heat thoroughly, without boiling, to avoid curdling.
