- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 cups milk
- 2 1/2 pounds canned diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 1/2 cups prepared bloody mary mix
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- sour cream and chopped green onions as a garnish (optional)
How To Make spicy cream of tomato soup

Step 1Make a roux in a large stock pot using butter and flour - be care that it doesn't burn.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.
