Ingredients
- 1 pound bag of frozen, chopped turnip greens, with or without turnips
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 - medium onion, chopped
- 3 - smoked pork chopped, diced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider viengar
- 1 tablespoon chipotle sauce (you can use another hot sauce, but the smoky flavor of this one adds a lot to the soup)
- 1 can field peas with snaps, or black eyed peas
- 2 - medium red potatoes, diced
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make southern turnip greens soup

Step 1Place everything in a soup pot except for the peas and potatoes.

Step 2Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 3Add the peas and potatoes and cook until the potatoes are done, approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
