potatoe, sausage , corn chowder

My family loves this and it goes along way you can add cheese , chives.. use your imagination.. Our contractors that work for us love this and I have made it for my husbands office and everyone wanted the recipe..Prep time is about 1/2 hour also I do not peel potatoes..

Ingredients

  • 1 box - swansons chicken broth
  • 8-10 - potatoes, red or baking?
  • 1 - tube of bob evans italian sausage
  • 1can - cream style corn
  • 1 can - whole sweet corn
  • 2 - cans evaporated milk
  • 1 cup instant mashed potatoes?? optional to thicken
  • 4 cups water

How To Make potatoe, sausage , corn chowder

  • Step 1
    Pour chicken broth and water into soup pan ,wash and cut up potatoes into bite size pieces, add and boil until done. while potatoes are cooking, brown sausage in skillet until browned and use spatchula to chop in small peices .. DRAIN.. When potatoes are done add drained sausage, add 1 can of cream corn, 1 can drained sweet corn , 2 cans of Carnation evaporated milk... Salt and pepper to taste I add a little basil (OPTIONAL).. To thicken add 1 cup of instant potatoes and stir until thickened, simmer and serve.. My Family loves this..Very filling..

    If you want you can use 2 boxes of broth instead of water just enough to cover potaoes, once you add the other ingredients you will have a full pot..
