potato soup with cabbage , carrots & ham

I love to eat this soup Its very YUMMY !!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 6 cups potatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup tamari
  • 2 teaspoons dill, fresh
  • 1 pound cubed ham
  • 1 - small head of cabbage
  • 1 pound bag of baby carrots
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash tabasco sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cold
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5 cups water

How To Make potato soup with cabbage , carrots & ham

  • Step 1
    In a big skillet Saute' Onions , Garlic and Dill in the butter
  • Step 2
    When the Onions, are soft add Water and Potatoes , Carrots, Ham and the Cabbage bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes
  • Step 3
    Add Tamari , Worcestershire , Tabasco and Pepper
  • Step 4
    Remove some of the Potatoes from the pot and blend thoroughly. The more Potatoes you blend , the creamier the soup will be and the fewer Potatoe chunks will be in it. If you want a compleatly smooth soup put the whole thing in a blender.
  • Step 5
    I have found that after all the steps are done if you just let it simmer longer it tastes that much better :)
