4 cpotatoes, peeled and diced
2celery stalks, diced
1/3 cfinely chopped onion
1/2 cbacon bits
3 1/4 cwater
2 Tbspchicken bouillon granules
1 tsppepper ( or to taste)
6 Tbspall purpose flour
How to Make Potato Soup
- combine the potatoes, onion, celery, bacon bits, and water in a large pot. Bring to a boil then lower heat to med. and cook until potatoes are tender, stir in chicken bouillon, and pepper
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over med,low heat.Whisk in flour using a fork stirring constantly until thick, about one minute .
- slowly stir in milk as not to allow lumps to form until all of the milk has been added, continue to stir over medium-low heat until thick about 5 minutes
- stir the milk mixture into the large pot and cook soup until heated through.
