Ingredients

bacon - chopped
1 c
onion - medium chop
3 c
potaoes, diced (i like ukon gold)
1 1/2 c
water
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1 c
sour cream
1 3/4 c
milk
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper

OPTIONAL: SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE & DICED TOMATOES

How to Make Potato Bacon Chowder

Step-by-Step

  • 11)Fry bacon until crisp in a large heavy pot. Add onion & saute 2 - 3 minutes.
  • 22) Pour off fat; Add water and potatoes. Bring to a boil; cover & simmer 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • 33) Stir in canned soup, sour cream and milk. Add salt and pepper. Heat to serving temperature.
  • 44) Serve with the optional shredded cheese and tomatoes sprinkled on top.
