I love soups and stews and just use whatever I have in the fridge or freezer. There are no exact amounts. If you like lots of a certain ingredient, the use more - by all means. I make an large pot and freeze in small quantities in zip lock bags for a fast meal with a salad and bread.

Ingredients
- - carrots, whole
- - onions, roughly chopped
- - celery, whole
- - ham bone
- 1 package split green peas (large pkg)
- 1 package frozen corn
- 1 package simply potatoes mashed potatoes
How To Make pea soup

Step 1Put carrots, onions, celery, ham bone and peas in a large pot and cover with water.

Step 2Cook at a low boil for approx 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Step 3Take celery out. Take ham bone out and take meat off. Mash the carrots roughly in the pot. Put the meat back in.

Step 4Put in the corn and mashed potatoes and cook for about 30 min. Use the masher again to make sure the potatoes incorporate.
