Ingredients
- 3 ounces pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 can 28oz crushed tomato
- 1 can 15 oz cannellini beans
- 2 tablespoons italian seasoning
- 2 ounces red or white wine
- 2 cups ditalini pasta
- 1 pinch grated cheese
How To Make pasta fagioli

Step 1On stovetop, In 6 qt. pot, add 1 tbsp oil and heat for 10 seconds. Add pepperoni and saute for a minute.

Step 2Drain off excess oil. To pot,add canned tomatoes, beans and red ( or white wine) and Italian seasoning. Stir.

Step 3Simmer on low heat for 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, adding water or more wine if consistency is too thick.

Step 4Boil Pasta until al dente.

Step 5To serve, use individual bowls, add a scoop of pasta, and cover with the sauce mixture. Add grated cheese, if desired.
