Ingredients

pepperoni slices
1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 can(s)
28oz crushed tomato
1 can(s)
15 oz cannellini beans
2 Tbsp
italian seasoning
2 oz
red or white wine
2 c
ditalini pasta
1 pinch
grated cheese

How to Make Pasta Fagioli

Step-by-Step

  • 1On stovetop, In 6 qt. pot, add 1 tbsp oil and heat for 10 seconds. Add pepperoni and saute for a minute.
  • 2Drain off excess oil. To pot,add canned tomatoes, beans and red ( or white wine) and Italian seasoning. Stir.
  • 3Simmer on low heat for 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, adding water or more wine if consistency is too thick.
  • 4Boil Pasta until al dente.
  • 5To serve, use individual bowls, add a scoop of pasta, and cover with the sauce mixture. Add grated cheese, if desired.
